Description of OBIBACA

Obibaca is an iron-free bolus for managing DCAD in cows and decreasing the risk of milk fever.

DCAD (Dietary Cation Anion Difference) is a reliable indicator used to obtain a representation of the balance between cations and anions of the ration given to the dairy cow.

This balance intervenes in the management of postpartum hypocalcemia. DCAD is important for the last three weeks of the drying off period and is the most effective lever for limiting milk fever and hypocalcemia after calving.

Its calcium composition for cows (pidolate, chloride and carbonate) makes it possible to increase the assimilation of calcium present in the intestinal lumen and to bring chlorine to lower the DCAD of the diet.

Obibaca is to be used on the day of calving.
