Description of DRENCH Lax
“Based on magnesium sulfate, sorbitol and gentian, Drench Lax is used when the cow’s transit needs to be restarted: during rumen impaction, when transit is slowed down (or stopped) and during magnesian deficiency.
This drench boosts the transit through:
–gentian which by its bitterness and its composition rich in alkaloids is appetizing, increases salivation and modulates the gastric contraction
–high dose magnesium sulfate which is a powerful laxative
–Sorbitol which allows both energy intake and helps improve liver function. Sorbitol is also a laxative
– Dextrose which provides an energy intake and increased palatability.”
